Law Office of David Stern stopping foreclosure work. They announced yesterday that they will be withdrawing from about 100,000 cases statewide where they had filed foreclosure actions against homeowners on behalf of banks. Currently there are about 350,000 cases statewide so this firm handle almost a third of all the cases!

This is good news and bad news. Many cases have been stuck in limbo for the last year while his firm was imploding. New law firms are already scooping up all the work they can from the banks and will aggressively start moving the cases again.
