Third party disclosures by debt collectorss

A common tactic of debt collectors is to disclose information about the debt they are trying to collect to third parties.  For example, they call a relative who does not live with you, your workplace, a neighbor, etc.  They are trying to embarrass you into paying the debt and this is illegal.  There are very limited circumstances when they can call a third party and they are NEVER allowed to disclose they fact they are calling to collect a debt nor can they identify themselves as debt collectors.  If this has happened to you, you may have a case against them.
